Last updated: 15 May 2025

Movemento ("the workshop", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website at movemento.world. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. Our services are based in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand, and this policy is written to be consistent with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (PDPA).

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

1. Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you provide it directly to us through the contact form on this website, by telephone, or by email. The categories of data we collect include:

We also collect limited technical data through cookies and standard web server logs, including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. See Section 5 for details on cookies.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data on the following legal grounds under the PDPA:

3. How We Use Your Data

Service delivery

Your name and contact details are used to manage your service enquiry, communicate about the scope and timeline of work, notify you when your watch is ready, and issue the job record at collection.

Workshop records

We retain a record of each service carried out, including the owner's contact details, the watch description, the work completed, and the findings. These records are held securely and are used if the same watch returns for a future service — having the history on file is practically useful for continuity of care.

Website analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use this website. This data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify individuals. You may opt out of analytics cookies through the cookie settings on this site.

Marketing

We do not send marketing communications unless you have explicitly agreed to receive them. You may withdraw that agreement at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

4. Data Retention

Contact enquiries that do not result in a service booking are deleted after twelve months. Service records — including the job sheet and correspondence related to a completed service — are retained for seven years to support future maintenance of the same watch and to meet any applicable legal retention requirements. Workshop archive records for heirloom rebuild services are retained indefinitely as part of the provenance documentation for the watch.

5. Cookies

This website uses cookies. Essential cookies are required for basic site functionality and cannot be disabled. Optional analytics and preference cookies are used only with your consent. You can manage your cookie preferences through the banner on this site or through the Cookie Policy page.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

7. Data Security

Personal data held digitally is stored on password-protected systems with restricted access. Physical service records are held in a locked archive. We review access controls on a regular basis. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required under the PDPA.

8. Your Rights

Under the PDPA, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Third-Party Links

This website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and recommend reading their privacy policies before providing any personal data.

10. Children's Privacy

This website and our services are not directed at persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated to clients whose data we hold via email.
